YA author Amy Maren Rice has always been passionate about storytelling that transports and inspires. Driven by a love for fantasy and adventure, she crafts stories where young adults find courage, friendship, and magic. Amy grew up on a dead-end street in a small Idaho town. Her childhood was filled with time to daydream, eat freshly shelled peas from the garden and swing from the giant apple tree in her grandparent's backyard. She attended Idaho State University where she earned a degree in Mass Communication and Fine Art. She has her mother and grandmother to thank for a life of painting and creating and her father for her unique sense of humor. While in college, she met and married her supportive husband Jason and has three amazing boys with him. They are the joy of her life.
